Fanny, Mary and Alexandra are the intrepid trekkers of Eric Overmyers witty, wordy expedition into language, imagination and pop culture. The ladies venture through bejeweled jungles, hack through the bush of history; unearth icons of the American century and sojourn with the likes of cannibals and beat poet gorge trolls. They map the spaces inside and outside of themselves that define who we are, what we know and pushes the farthest reaches of the human yearning that keeps all of us continually On the Verge.
